According to RDB, every year, 10% of the revenues from the country’s National Parks is allocated to projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of communities living around the parks. Most communities around National  Parks have predominantly made livelihood from either poaching or encroaching on the parks and threatening the lives of wild life.

The allocation of some of the revenues from tourism are designed to ensure these communities forge a new life to allow conservation projects flourish, mostly participating in those projects.
