Rwanda’s coffee sector has earned global recognition after one of its specialty lots ranked among the top performers at the World of Coffee San Diego 2026 cupping competition.

The Rwandan entry, an anaerobic natural processed coffee, placed in the top five out of 48 samples, drawing attention from international buyers, roasters, and industry experts.

The achievement highlights Rwanda’s growing reputation as a producer of high-quality specialty coffee and underscores its increasing competitiveness on the global market.
