The (RRA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madagascar’s (DGI) to enhance collaboration in tax administration and revenue collection.
The agreement was signed on Monday in Kigali by RRA Commissioner General and his Malagasy counterpart .
The partnership aims to promote knowledge sharing, particularly in the use of technology to improve tax systems.
Rwanda will share its experience in implementing electronic billing machines (EBM), which have played a key role in strengthening tax compliance and efficiency.
Speaking at the signing, Niwenshuti emphasized that the agreement reflects strong cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries, especially in the field of taxation.
Rafaralahy highlighted the importance of the collaboration in enhancing system interoperability, safeguarding data security from point-of-sale transactions, and ensuring faster resolution of technical challenges.
The agreement marks a significant step toward modernizing tax administration in both countries through innovation and shared expertise.
