The Embassy of Rwanda has reassured Rwandans living in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain that they are safe, despite escalating security tensions in the region.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the embassy confirmed that no Rwandan casualties have been reported following recent attacks targeting the two Gulf states, which have been linked to military operations involving Iran.
The embassy emphasized that Rwandan nationals are receiving the necessary assistance and access to consular services.
“We urge all Rwandans in the UAE and Bahrain to remain calm, follow local security instructions, and stay in close contact with our mission for any urgent assistance,” the embassy said.
The statement comes amid reports of missile and drone attacks in the region, which have raised concerns about civilian safety and disruption to daily life.
Authorities in both countries have heightened security measures, including increased surveillance and emergency preparedness protocols.
The Rwandan government continues to monitor the situation closely and has assured its citizens that support, including evacuation plans if needed, is in place.
Citizens are also encouraged to register with the embassy to ensure rapid communication in case of emergencies.
This advisory reflects Rwanda’s ongoing commitment to protecting its citizens abroad, particularly during periods of regional instability.
