According to a report of the DRC’s National Institute of Statistics (2024-2025), 64.2 million Congolese live below the poverty line, set at 2,073,282 Congolese francs per year.
Poverty is more pronounced in rural areas.
The incidence is estimated at 52.6% in Kinshasa, the lowest in the country, while several provinces exceed 70%.
