Rwanda is taking part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) currently underway in Davos, Switzerland, with high expectations of strengthening international cooperation and unlocking new economic opportunities.

Speaking to Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA), the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, said Rwanda’s participation is aimed at engaging global leaders to explore ways of maximizing partnerships, particularly those that can benefit Africa.

“Rwanda will hold discussions with various world leaders to examine how we can harness cooperation and take advantage of the opportunities available on our African continent,” Minister Nduhungirehe said.

The 56th edition of the World Economic Forum has brought together more than 3,000 participants from 130 countries.

Among them are 56 heads of state and government, over 400 senior government officials, as well as leaders from the private sector, civil society, and the global research community.

Rwanda’s presence at the forum underscores its commitment to positioning itself as a key partner in global economic discussions, while promoting Africa as a continent rich in opportunities for investment, innovation, and sustainable development.

Through high-level meetings and strategic dialogues at Davos, Rwanda hopes to translate global conversations into concrete partnerships that contribute to national development and regional growth.
