Participants in the #TaxAwarenessChallenge2026 are beginning to reap the rewards of their efforts, as winners from last week’s challenge have officially started receiving their prizes.

Among those who performed exceptionally well is Ntaganda Maxime, who expressed his excitement about the win and called on young people and other citizens to actively take part in the initiative.

He noted that the challenge is not only rewarding but also educational, helping participants better understand the role of taxes in national development.

Organizers of the campaign say the challenge was designed to promote tax literacy, civic responsibility, and public engagement, particularly among the youth.

Through short, creative video submissions, participants answer weekly questions related to taxation, public finance, and how tax revenues contribute to essential services such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social protection.

They have announced that opportunities remain open for more participants.

This week’s hopefuls are required to submit their answers in the form of a video not exceeding 90 seconds, no later than Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. Submissions are made through designated social media platforms using the official hashtags.

The #TaxAwarenessChallenge2026 aims to inspire citizens to think critically about taxation, understand its importance, and view it as a shared responsibility that fuels national progress and sustainable development.

Participants are encouraged to follow the conversation and engage online using the hashtags #TaxAwarenessChallenge2026 and #ThinkTaxEngageWin.

Organizers say more winners will be announced weekly, with prizes awarded to the most accurate, creative, and engaging submissions.
