A team of Rwandans have concluded today an aggressive 3-day training on International Space Law, Policy, and Governance.
According to instructors, the training programme covered key areas including international space law treaties, licensing and authorization, registration of space objects, liability and insurance, enforcement mechanisms, and space governance.
“Rwanda Space Agency extends its sincere appreciation to the instructors and participants for their active engagement and commitment to strengthening the space legal and regulatory capacity,” the agency Said.
Rwanda space Agency created in 2020 aimed at Building space technology infrastructure, Developing local talent in space sciences and Creating partnerships with global space organizations.
The ambitious agency launched its first satellite, RwSat-1, in 2019, aimed at environmental monitoring and supporting sectors like agriculture and urban planning.
