Months of calculative planning and rehearsals by US special Forces has today resulted in a movie-like strike on Venezuelan capital, Caracass leading to the capture of the country’s president who is already enroute to prison in US.
President Nicholas Maduro and his wife will be detained in the US on serious charges of “Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy and possession of weapons intended against the US.
“They will soon face the full wrath of American justice on American soil in American courts,” US Attorney General Pam Bondi said on Saturday.
Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been indicted in the Southern District of New York.
Meanwhile, Venezuela has declared a national emergency, denouncing “military aggression”.
Marco Rubio the US Secretary of State said in the end of year press briefing:
“We have a regime that’s illegitimate that cooperates with Iran, that cooperates with Hezbollah, that cooperates with narco-trafficking and narco-terrorist organizations inclusive, not just protecting their shipments and allowing them to operate with impunity, but also allows some of them to control territory, the ELN and the FARC-D. They have open camps that they control territory inside of Venezuela. That is our national interest, and that is what this is focused on.”
Rubio added, “That’s what we have been focused on the entire time, because that is the threat to the national interest of the United States. Do we consider Maduro legitimate? No. (But) it’s not me, a grand jury in New York in the southern district of New York was presented evidence and came back with an indictment, not just against Maduro, by the way, but against a bunch of people in his government, for narco-trafficking.”
