RDF Participates in AU Peace and Security Council Meeting in Addis Ababa

A delegation from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), led by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Mubarakh Muganga, is participating in the African Union Peace and Security Council meeting taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Rwanda reaffirmed its commitment to continue contributing to peacekeeping efforts in the region, as well as strengthening cooperation with partner countries to promote peace and security across the African continent.

The country has long been recognized for its active role in peace support operations and its consistent engagement in regional stability initiatives.

According to RDF, Rwanda remains ready and willing to work closely with fellow African nations to find sustainable solutions to security challenges affecting the continent, with the aim of building lasting peace and supporting development.

The meeting, attended by representatives from various security institutions across Africa, is regarded as a key platform for setting strategic directions in preventing and addressing conflicts that continue to undermine peace and stability on the continent.
