The First Lady, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, has urged graduates of Kepler College to uphold their values, roots, and integrity as they embark on new journeys beyond the classroom.
Speaking at Kepler College’s inaugural graduation ceremony in Kigali, Mrs. Kagame joined students, faculty, and families to celebrate the institution’s historic milestone — the graduation of its first-ever class of Keplerians, the Class of 2025.
The ceremony honored over 290 graduates, marking a journey of hard work, growth, and new beginnings.
In her keynote address, Mrs. Kagame reminded graduates that their education carries a deeper purpose beyond academic achievement.
“To you, class of 2025, Kepler has equipped you with more than degrees,” she said, adding that; “It has given you the tools to think boldly, to solve problems that others might shy away from, to communicate with clarity, to lead with integrity, and to adapt in a world that is always changing.”
She went on to encourage the new graduates to lead with courage, creativity, and community spirit.
“You are prepared to tackle global challenges, innovate fearlessly, and lead responsibly, all while carrying the values, roots, and spirit of your communities,” Mrs. Kagame added.
The First Lady commended Kepler’s innovative approach to higher education — one that blends technology, global learning, and local relevance — calling it a model for Africa’s future.
She praised the institution’s focus on employability, inclusivity, and character-driven leadership.
The event drew government officials, education leaders, and international partners, all celebrating Kepler’s transformative impact on Rwanda’s education landscape.
As the Class of 2025 steps into the world, their milestone stands as a symbol of Rwanda’s growing investment in youth empowerment, skills development, and ethical leadership — values Mrs. Kagame described as “the foundation for meaningful progress.”
