President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame on Thursday evening hosted a high-level delegation from the White House Faith Office for dinner at Urugwiro Village.

The visiting team included Paula White, Senior Advisor at the White House Faith Office; Jennifer Korn Sporment, Assistant to the President of the United States and Faith Director at the same office; Jonathan Cain, Bradley Knight, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Rosa Whitaker Duncan-Williams, Joel Duncan-Williams, and Chekinah Olivier.

The dinner provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on shared values of faith, peace, and leadership, as well as discussions on regional and global issues of mutual concern.

The meeting underscored Rwanda’s ongoing engagement with global faith leaders and the country’s emphasis on moral leadership, reconciliation, and peacebuilding.

President Kagame and the First Lady often highlight the role of faith in fostering unity and values-driven leadership — principles that resonate with Rwanda’s post-genocide transformation and its partnerships with international faith-based communities.
