The Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) has announced a major initiative to assist property owners with immovable property tax obligations, offering specialized support at the sector level across the country from October 27 to November 14, 2025.
RRA said the program is being rolled out in collaboration with Districts, the City of Kigali, and Ngali Holdings Ltd.
The decentralized service aims to help individuals who are legally required to declare and pay immovable property tax but have not yet done so.
“This special support is designed for those who have not registered their immovable property, those who have not declared their property tax as required by law, and those who wish to correct information about their property in the tax system,” an announcement stated.
The initiative illustrates RRA’s push for greater compliance and accessibility in tax administration. By bringing services closer to citizens at the sector level, the authority hopes to reduce barriers and encourage timely declarations.
Property owners are also urged to declare their 2025 property tax early to allow sufficient time for payment preparation and to access additional support if needed.
The move comes as part of ongoing efforts to further streamline Rwanda’s tax collection system. Officials say the two-week window provides a critical opportunity for compliance ahead of the annual tax cycle.
More details on locations and schedules for the sector-level support will also be communicated through the respective local administrative authorities.
For further assistance, taxpayers are advised to visit their nearest RRA office or call the hotline at 3004.
