Leaders of the FPR-Inkotanyi from all provinces and the City of Kigali have pledged renewed efforts to tackle hygiene and sanitation challenges across the country, following a consultative meeting chaired by the party’s Vice Chairperson, Hon. Consolée Uwimana.

Held in Kigali, the meeting brought together regional representatives to review the state of hygiene and cleanliness in their respective areas and to agree on practical strategies for improvement.

Hon. Uwimana insisted on the importance of close collaboration between local leaders, communities, and party structures to ensure sustainable progress. “It is our duty as a party to work hand in hand with citizens to address these pressing challenges,” she said, emphasizing that poor sanitation undermines public health and the country’s development goals.

Participants highlighted inadequate hygiene as a persistent issue affecting livelihoods and the environment, noting that stronger coordination and accountability are key to achieving long-term solutions.

They resolved to reinforce community engagement, encourage behavior change, and promote hygiene-centered initiatives at the grassroots level.

The meeting also adopted plans to partner with local authorities, farmers, and other stakeholders to improve sanitation infrastructure and implement education campaigns promoting clean and healthy living conditions.

Concluding the session, leaders reaffirmed FPR-Inkotanyi’s commitment to advancing Rwanda’s development agenda through practical measures that enhance the well-being of citizens.

They called for continued collaboration among all sectors to ensure sustained improvement in hygiene and sanitation across the nation.
