Inclusive Connectivity To Be Expanded In Kigali

An ambitious partnership between two leading Internet service providers is scheduled to completely transform digital inclusion across Kigali.

According to a commique seen by Taarifa, Connecting Communities Africa has acquired TransAfrica Communications (TrAC) with an aim to extend dependable internet to rural and hard-to-reach communities.

Kigali’s suburban often dotted with hills and valleys still experiences connectivity challenges. Therefore this acquisition could fix the existing digital inclusion gaps.

CCA (Connecting Communities Africa) believes connectivity is the foundation for inclusive growth. It’s management says it chose to acquire TrAC for its reliability, regional reach, and shared commitment to inclusive growth.

“Our vision is simple, empowering lives through stronger connections,” said Altaf Ladak, CEO of Connecting Communities.

He adds, “connectivity goes beyond cables and towers; it’s about bringing people together, helping students learn, businesses grow, and strengthening communities.”

In his comment to the acquisition, Sage the CEO of TrAC, “Reliability has always been at the heart of TrAC.”

“With Connecting Communities’s partnership, we’ll accelerate our reach, connect more underserved communities, and continue delivering the internet that fuels growth, learning, and opportunity,” Sage noted.

TrAC a Rwandan based company now operates across five African countries, serving clients with a mission to connect communities and drive Africa’s digital growth.

Details indicate that Connecting Communities Africa (CCA) is backed by AKA Partners as majority shareholders and strategic architects, created to close the gap for billions still offline and excluded from opportunity.
