The cycling community is in for an electrifying experience over the weekend, on September 13, as over 60 professional and elite amateur cyclists prepare to hit the road for an exciting ride from Stade Amahoro to the serene shores of Lake Muhazi at the Falcon Golf and Country Club.
According to the organizers, the highly anticipated ride kicks off at 11:00 a.m., with participants expected to arrive at the lakeside destination by 1:00 p.m.
But this is not just a sporting event—it’s a full-day celebration of fitness, music, and culture.
Joining the cyclists will be over 500 fans, following closely behind in buses and private vehicles, creating a vibrant procession along the scenic route to Muhazi.
On arrival, the event will shift gears into a massive lakeside party featuring some of the region’s hottest talent, including top Rwandan and Kenyan DJs. Organizers say the music will set the tone for a festive afternoon designed to remind the 15,000-strong Kenyan community in Rwanda that they are at home here.
The Falcon Golf and Country Club, now a favorite destination for events thanks to its breathtaking lake views and stunning sunsets, will provide the perfect backdrop, says Michael BAYINGANA-General Manager.
Guests will indulge in spicy barbecue of fresh water fish and assorted meats, along with a signature dish and other treats, accompanied by cocktails prepared by mixologist Dany “The Lion” and ice-cold drinks from local and international brewers.
“This will be more than a ride; it’s an unforgettable experience that blends sport, culture, and lifestyle,” said a representative from Urutozi Events Management, the organizers behind the spectacle. The event is proudly sponsored by Food Bundle.
