Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente has started a one-day visit in Gakenke District where he visited Nzove-Ruli-Gakenke road, Ruli and Gatonde hospitals, Ruli Higher Institute of Health, Dukundekawa Coffee Factory and Nyundo IDP Model Village.
While visiting the construction of Nzove-Ruli-Gakenke road, the Prime Minister urged constructors to uphold the quality of the road speed up works and complete the road on the set roadmap.
Visiting Ruli District Hospital, Prime Minister Eduard Ngirente expressed satisfaction for the health services that this hospital offers since it features among the best hospitals with good services at national level.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister also visited Dukundekawa Cooperative of Musasa, counting now 1192 members, one of the well-managed cooperatives from Gakenke District that has been adding value to coffee produce since 2004.
Speaking to over 1000 members of Dukundekawa cooperative, PM Ngirente urged them and all coffee farmers to put efforts in increasing coffee productivity. He assured them of price stability despite price changes on international market.
Meanwhile, in this visit, the Prime Minister is joined by Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Uzziel Ndagijimana, Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister, Solange Kayisire, among other officials. They were received by Northern Province Governor Jean Marie Vianney Gatabazi, and Gakenke District officials, among others.
