Egypt will face Mali in the finals, while Rwanda will face Uganda in FIBA U16 African Women’s Championship scheduled to conclude today at Petit Stadium Amahoro late in the evening.
Eight teams have been taking place in the championship which includes; Angola, Egypt, reigning champions Mali, Mozambique, hosts Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda complete the the lineup of eight teams that will be battling for continental glory.
The ten-day competition kicked off from on July 23, 2019 and will conclude August 3, 2019, with the best team qualifying for the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2020.
Egypt who beat Angola 71-58 to reach the final will be hoping to claim the fourth FIBA U16 women title; Mali thrashed Mozambique by 102-25.
In the other game to be played, Angola will take on Mozambique looking for a third-place finish, host Rwanda who faced a baptism of fire will be taking on neighbors Uganda for the 5th place finish.
Rwanda managed to win against Tanzania in the second, coach Charles Mushumba’s girls lost the rest of their games.
