The annual Carre d’As volleyball competition is set to take center stage at Petit Stade from July 27-28, 2019 both in the men and women category.
According to Rwanda Volleyball Federation, FRVB four-team including favorite Rwanda Energy Group (REG), Gisagara, UTB, and IPRC-Ngoma will face off in the all-around throughout post-season men tournaments.
In the opening fixtures scheduled this Friday respective champions, REG is expected not to face any difficulty to unlock IPRC-Ngoma at NationaL Paralympics Center while defending champions Gisagara will take on UTB later on.
The competition will resume on Saturday with four matches to be played, UTB will battle REG in the best of three sets whereas, IPRC-Ngoma takes on Gisagara before UTB returns to face IPRC-Ngoma.
REG will take on Gisagara team which just signed former Rwanda international Pierre Marshal Kwizera as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
On the same day, the ladies will also be playing at the outside court, when six games will be played. RRA takes on women defending winners APR, UTB vs KVC, APR takes on UTB; KVC will meet RRA, while APR will tussle with KVC before UTB meets RRA.
Both the men and women finals will be played on Sunday when the best teams take on the second depending on the rankings to determine finalists.
