Three Juveniles Caught Red-handed Stealing School Computers

Three juveniles are being held by Police after they were caught attempting to steal computers at Groupe Scolaire Maya II, located in Rugarama Sector, Burera District.

The incident happened in the dawn of Sunday, July 7, 2019 when the school guard on duty woke up to check around and saw two people running away.

Eugene Musabwa, the district education officer in Burera District, said that he immediately went to see whether or not something had been stolen.

He noticed that they had broken one window and when he got closer, he peeped through and found out that there was someone inside.

He called for help.

“The man climbed up to to hide himself in the ceiling, but the public and police arrived im time,” he said.

The man was arrested.

He confessed that he was attempting to steal.

He gave information about his colleagues who were also arrested.

Musabwa urged school authorities to safeguard their computer stores and advised those with ill intentions of stealing them that their days are numbered.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been handed to Gahunga Police Station for further investigation.
