Kagame In Madagascar As Guest Of Honour For Independence Anniversary

President Paul Kagame is in Madagascar where he was the Guest of Honour at the 59th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Madagascar held at Mahamasina Municipal Stadium in Antananarivo.

The two Heads of State will hold bilateral talks and address a joint press conference.

President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame will also attend a State Banquet hosted in their honour at Iavoloha Presidential Palace.

In February this year, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Economic Development Board of Madagascar (ECDBM) too increase the flow of investments between the two countries and develop exchanges between the two institutions in a bid to increase capacity and enhance professionalism.

The two countries have expressed willingness to strengthen bilateral ties and explore cooperation in the areas of mining, tourism, agriculture and legal affairs.
