Rwandan Professionals In Diaspora Hold Conference On Nation Building

Dozens of Rwandan young professionals in the United States are gathered at University of Indianapolis for a meaningful conversation on how they can contribute to building their country Rwanda.

Mathilde Mukantabana Rwanda’s envoy to the United States of America was upbeat by this conference describing it as, “Wise counsel, creative minds, all around patriotism, we are all bound to be inspired this Saturday.”

Dubbed the Rwandan Young professionals Conference, it has attracted hundreds of participants and discussions are guided by the theme; “the role of Rwandan Young Professionals in Nation Building”.

The conference which has begun at 8AM (USA local time) is featuring three sessions and will run up to evening at 6PM.

Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente is also lined up for the conference to inspire and break down Rwanda’s aspirations, values and policies that would guide delegates at the conference.

The opening panel discussion is coded; Investment, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development – panelists are discussing the opportunities, gaps, and skills that make up the Rwandan economic development ecosystem and what young professionals can do today to contribute to its advancement and prepare for the jobs of the future.

Panelists include; Adolphe Kajangwe, Placide Nibakuze, Louise Kanyonga, Dale Neuberger and Patrick Buchana – disussions on this panel are being moderated by Kagenza Rumongi.

The second Panel Discussion dubbed; Health and Education is scheduled to deliberate on the latest advancements in the health and education sectors.

Here, Panelists will explore technological advancements that are behind health advancements and will also discuss how education in Rwanda can promote the understanding and adoption of sustainable systems.

Moderated by Marvin Karugarama Discussants include; Dr. Charles Murigande, Edgard Ngaboyamahina, Mireille Muhoza, Dr. Clet Niyikiza and Claudette Irere.

This conference will also feature later in the day a specialised session named “Inspire Me” talk show with Dr. Clet Niyikiza and Dr. Donald Kaberuka.

An Interesting third Panel discussion named: Conversation with Policy Makers and Global Shapers is moderated by Thibault Twahirwa and features panelists such as; Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente,  Hon. Olivier Nduhungirehe, Dr. Clet Niyikiza, Dr. Donald Kaberuka, and  John Sendanyoye.
