Rwanda Development Board yesterday concluded a series of customer care workshops aimed at improving service delivery standards in the hospitality sector in Musanze District.
The two-week countrywide customer-care trainings for owners of hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs benefited over 1,000 hospitality industry staff in the districts of Huye, Nyamagabe, Rusizi, Rubavu and Musanze.
Speaking while closing the workshop the head of the RDB Customer Care and Tourism Regulatory Division, Emmanuel Nsabimana said “Rwanda strongly believes quality service delivery is a key driver to not only the growth of tourism but the entire economy as well.”
He said RDB intends to double tourism revenues from US$ 404 million in 2016 to US$ 800 Million in 2024 and the only way to do this is by ensuring that our customer care is world class.
“Excellent service earns you a satisfied customer who will remain loyal as long as you provide excellent service,” he said.
RDB trained over 200 people per district over the period that included managers, receptionists, waiters, supervisors, housekeepers and cooks.
