Kagame Pledges Rwf5Million For Kimironko School Construction

President Paul Kagame has pledged Rwf5million to support construction of a school (Groupe Scolaire of Kimironko) in Gasabo district.

The school is being built as part of Umuganda and with a deadline of six months to be completed. The school hosts over 1,000 pupils.

Residents in Kimironko, a fast urbanizing suburb of Kigali City, thronged to the school with hoes, spades and other tools to level part of the site where construction of new building structures will be conducted in the next six months.

Throughout Rwanda, everyone is required to engage in community work (Umuganda) usually conducted at the last Saturday of every month.
