Twenty Year old Samuel Mugisha has done Rwanda Proud after peddling hard to cross the finish line thus sealing a highly anticipated win of Tour Du Rwanda cycling tournament.
Mugisha clocked 24h,26min, 53seconds and was followed by fellow Rwandan Jean Claude Uwizeye who came 21 seconds behind him and Ethiopian Haelemaliam Mulu who came in the third place on the general classification
From the start, Rwanda had high chances of winning this cycling tournament and the biggest hope was in Samuel Mugisha who had maintained the yellow Jersey at almost all stages.
The final peddle to the finish line today saw the cyclists pacing through all circuit routes around Kigali city and the fans are waiting for the final moment.
With Mugisha bringing the trophy home, it becomes the 5th consecutive win for Rwandan riders as no foreign rider has been able to win the race since 2014.
