President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya has no kind words for corrupt officials in the public service that have embezzled funds and abused office. “They must be prosecuted,” he has insisted.
On Wednesday while officially opening Nairobi’s latest sky scrapper – 34-storey Prism Towers, Uhuru sanctioned for the immediate arrest and prosecution of government officials that were involved in the approval of buildings on riparian land.
Currently government is demolishing buildings that were constructed on riparian lands and water ways which Uhuru is very supportive of.
“We will continue to demolish properties constructed on riparian lands, equally punish officials who made approvals for those properties,” He warned that demolitions will carry on and ‘no single house deemed to be built on wetlands will be spared.
