Zimbabwe Ruling Party Scoops 72% Of Seats In Parliament

Zanu-PF has attained the majority of National Assembly seats, with 72% of seats declared so far by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC).

The party now has an unassailable majority at 109 seats, with MDC-Alliance bagging 41, National Patriotic Front (NPF) one seat and one independent. They are 58 seats to be declared.

However, critics argue that ZEC tally could have been compromised because the electoral body is allegedly full of loyal Zanu-PF operatives that could have provided their own modified “official” results in second announcements.

One critic only identified as Tonga said, “It’s up to citizens to now compile their own results from original official V11 forms outside polling stations and compare them to the manipulated and changed election results “officially” announce by ZEC.”

He further argued that all international observers should be presented with these original compiled results before they pronounce their opinions on how “fair” these elections were.

For Tonga,  ZEC must be challenged in court for what he described as numerous anomalies!
