Come Back Home, Be Captain In Mali Army, African ‘Spiderman’ Told

Mamoudou Gassama the African migrant who scaled five floors of a building to rescue a child dangling to near death, has been offered another deal back home – to ditch his firefighter job and become an Army captain.

The President of Mali, Ibrahim Baoubacar Keita has asked Gassama forfeit his newly given French citizenship and firefighter job and return to Mali to become a captain in the Malian Army.

President Keita heard of Gassama’s heroic act of scaling the outside of a four-storey building in just 30 seconds to save a boy hanging off a balcony in Paris and the eventual reward from French president- but he has an alternative offer for the 22-year old.
