Congolese militia Mai Mai has asked the Ugandan government to provide them with six boxes of bullets in order to set free kidnapped Ugandans.
According to Uganda media reports, the militia allegedly abducted six Ugandan fishermen on Lake Edward during the weekend.
The abduction is the third case since the year began. Last April, four Ugandan fishermen were abducted by suspected Congolese soldiers on Lake Albert.
The militia demanded 10 boxes of bullets in order to release the Ugandan fishermen. Each box holds six containers with a total of 6,000 bullets.
