Tour du Cameroun 2018 Suspended At Last Minute
Rwandan national cycling team including other teams from different countries are packing their bags ready to return home after the Cameroonian government called off the Tour du Cameroun 2018 cycling competition.
Athletes for Team Rwanda had already arrived in Yaounde but will have to fly back home.
Reports indicate that the Cameroon government had until the final day failed to release funds necessary to facilitate the cycling tournament.
Tour du Cameroun 2018 is the 16th edition of this competition. The competition was scheduled to take place from 10th March till 18th March 2018 in Cameroon.

In the general classification which was slated for Saturday March 10th would take through the following stages.
Stage 1 – Pouma – Kribi – 154,4 km
Stage 2 – Kribi – Douala – 175,7 km – 11th March 2018
Stage 3 – Douala – Douala – 108 km – 12th March 2018
Stage 4 – Douala – Limbe – 85,5 km – 13th March 2018
Stage 5 – Mbanga – Bafang – 121,5 km – 15th March 2018
Stage 6 – Bafoussam – Bafoussam – 98 km – 16th March 2018
Stage 7 – Tonga – Tonga – 83,7 km – 17th March 2018
Stage 8 – Bafia – Yaoundé – 122,8 km – 18th March 2018
