Rwanda has maintained her third place as least Corrupt Country in Africa according to the 2017 Corruption Perception Index released by Transparency International on Thursday morning.
Rwanda is third on the index with Capo Verde with score 55% while it was 54% in 2016.
Botswana comes top in Africa with score 61, ranked 34th in the world, followed by Seychelles whose score is 60 being ranked 36th worldwide.
Rwanda and Cape Verde are ranked 48th globally while Rwanda was 50th in 2016.
Transparency International says the “key ingredient that the top performing African countries have in common is political leadership that is consistently committed to anti-corruption.”
