France’s Minister of Sports Laura Flessel-Colovic is currently in Rwanda on a three day visit and is expected to join other fans and supporters at the ongoing African cycling championships.
Since Emmanuel Macron was elected president of France, Minister Flessel-Colovic becomes the first government official to visit Rwanda. She jetted in to Kigali on Thursday.
On Saturday, Minister Flessel-Colovic will flag off the senior female side of the Cycling championship at Amahoro National stadium.
The French Minister who is also an award winning Olympian will also drive to Musanze district to visit the Africa Rising Cycling Center where Rwandan cyclists are trained. This trip to Musanze district is organised by Rwanda Cycling Federation (FERWACY).
The 2018 African Continental Road Championship kicked off on Wednesday and will proceed to February 18 in Kigali.
