Mowzey’s Killer Remanded Pending Investigations

A Ugandan court has remanded a suspect in the murder of a Ugandan musician Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio.

Godfrey Wamala a businessman was on Wednesday remanded to Kigo prison by Entebbe chief magistrate Mary Kaitesi.

Prosecution submitted to court that on January 22nd, Wamala hit the singer on the head during a brawl at “De bar” in Entebbe.

According to Uganda’s daily NewVision, Wamala had appeared before Chief magistrate Kaitesi for formal reading of the murder charges against him.

The Chief Magistrate however, did not allow him to take plea because the charges against him are capital in nature and can only be tried by the High court.

Wamala has been sent on remand in prison until February 26th after the resident state Attorney, Julius Tuhairwe informed court that police investigations are not incomplete.
