Diane Rwigara’s Case Adjourned To Nov 16

Court on Tuesday adjourned the case of Diane and her mother Adeline Rwigara to November 16. This was after Diane reported the absence of her lawyer, while Adeline couldn’t make it court due to sickness.

On October 23, Judges at the Nyarugenge Intermediate court ordered for the temporary thirty day custody of the two and released Anne Rwigara, as investigation into the charges are still ongoing.

Court established likelihood for Adeline and Diane to flee the country and the prosecutable charges that would attract a sentence of over two years as grounds for their detention.

Diane, donned in pink inmate uniform told judges that she was not ready for the day’s proceedings without her lawyer, Pierre Celestin Buhuru , who had another hearing while   Adeline Mukangemanyi’s lawyer presented to court with a letter confirming her absence from court on Tuesday.
