Tour Du Rwanda: Areruya Wins Stage Three, Pellaud Keeps Yellow Jersey

Rwandan Joseph Areruya who rides for South Africa’s Dimension Data for Qhubeka on Wednesday won stage three of the ongoing Tour Du Rwanda.

Areruya who had won the first stage on Monday, from Kigali to Huye used 2h23’25 in a distance of 95Km from Rubavu to Musanze.

He was followed by Avila Vanegas of Team Illuminate with 2h23’25 , Rene Jean Paul Ukiniwabo (2h23’23) who rides for Team Rwanda in third place, while Simon Pellaud (Team Illuminate) who won yesterday’s stage two from Nyanza to Rubavu emerged fourth clocking 02h23’25 and in fifith position came Eyob Mektel riding for Team Dimension Data at 2h23’25.

On the general classification, Swiss Simon Pellaud still leads, followed by Joseph Areruya, Valens Ndayisenga riding for Tirol Cycling club in the third place, Suleiman Kangangi (Bike Aid) on the fouth, while Patrick Byukusenge (Team Rwanda) is in the fifth place.

In stage four, cyclists will be riding from Musanze to Nyamata.
