PHOTOS: Seka Live Comedy Night Rebrands Kigali Night

East African comedy icons Eric Omondi and Chipukeezy with host Rwandan Arthur Nkusi, thrilled comedy fans with packages ranging from tongue twisters, jokes to gimmicks. Revellers in Kigali Serena’s auditorium, filled to its full capacity, found it irresistible to smile throughout the show with deafening screaming.

Whines and yelling characterised the annual Seka live event.

The female dominated audience exhibited absolute freedom during the show and of course the entry fee was Rwf10, 000.

Chipukeezy looked cool in a Made-in-Rwanda decorated hairdo. The comedy was punctuated by live music from Rwandan gospel band; Beauty for Ashes and miming by the charming and natural-looking comedians. Some had decorated themselves with shouting colours.

Eric Omondi induced a loud appraisal when he displayed his dancing skills as he crowned the energetic and enthusiastic comedy performance.

The climax of the comedy night witnessed a man kneeling on stage to confess his love asking Kigali’s famous female artiste to start a new lease of life. The lady said ‘why not’? They have our prayers if it was not first class comedy.

“It was an amazing experience to perform in Rwanda for the first time; the audience was lovely and I am planning to work with Rwandan comedians in the near future,” said Japan based Kenyan comedian Evans Musoka Luseno.
